It is cut manually first, brought to the correct form, then secured by pins and finally sewn. The best one are prepared by the combination of two last methods. If it is of single color fabric, then machine is used to cut the whole mound of sheets. While the pattern fabrics are cut individually so as to make sure that the planned design is accomplished after it is sewn. The templates are normally made of the transparent plastic specifying the width and length so as to assist the cutter in making precise cuts.

The inlay can be wool or cotton depending on weight and yarn count of fabrics exterior. The inlay has to fit properly so as to make sure that school ties can be fastened easily.
