Things You Should Never Feed Your Puppy Or Dog

Ask most people about what food you should never give a puppy dog and they will say chocolate. And right they are! Chocolate is fetal for dogs and while most people know this, there are still too many cases out there where a dog has died because a person who wanted to give their puppy a little treat, ends up killing their beloved pet. In reality however, there more that just chocolate that can harm you dog.

Certain food should never be given to any dog. Remember, a dog's anatomy is different than that of humans and just because something is good for you, doesn't mean it's good for your puppy. Here are other food you should never give your dog.



  • Grapes and Raisins - Grapes are fetal to dogs and if consumes in large quantities can cause kidney failure. While most dogs aren't crazy about this type of food, some will more than happy to eat them so be careful.


  • Onions - Some people have unknowingly given their dog some onions with a piece of chicken or some other tasty food. Dogs that eat onions can develop anemia so refrain from giving your dog this food.


  • Animal Fat - Dogs love chicken and meat but the fat and skin found on these foods can harm your dog. If your going to give your dog a piece of chicken or meat, make sure that they don't have any fat on them.
